About Freedom Academy

Dedicated Educators

Our teachers are experienced in the field of education, and many hold teaching certificates.  They are CPR certified, FBI background checked, and attend yearly training.

Classrooms

We now offer three classrooms for Academy.  One classroom is for Kindergarten, one for 2nd and 3rd grade and the other is for 4th and 5th grade.  This will allow for smaller class sizes and even more individualized attention for our students! We are excited that we will be adding 1st grade for the 2026/2027 school year.

Our Vision

We seek to establish an environment of learning where children grow relationally, academically, & in their faith. We look forward to coming alongside parents and their homeschool to teach children healthy communication with others, along with math, science, and history.

ProCare App

Our program offers the distinct opportunity to see what your children are learning via the ProCare App. Our teachers will post photos that only enrolled families can see and we will send needed updates straight to your phone or device. Additionally, monthly tuition can be paid via the app (with a minimal fee charged by the app).

Enriching Opportunities

Kindergarten and First Grade

Kindergarten and First Grade

Students actively participate in weekly Chapel services as we encourage them to grow in faith, leadership, and service. Weekly enrichment provides hands-on, creative learning through art, creative writing, experiments, recipes, and STEM challenges. Extended recess time and community-building lunches foster connection and collaboration. Students also participate in a Christmas and spring show, building confidence and public speaking skills. All curriculum and programming are thoughtfully planned and prayerfully considered as we prepare for a strong year of growth.

Kindergarten and First Grade

Kindergarten and First Grade

Kindergarten uses BJU’s specially designed Focus on Five curriculum, created with young learners in mind. It builds a strong foundation in early literacy and math while intentionally cultivating a Biblical worldview. Social studies and science are thoughtfully throughout the program, allowing students to explore and delight in God’s creation.

Our first-ever first grade class will use BJU curriculum to provide a strong academic foundation in math, reading, phonics, and English, all with a Biblical worldview. We are launching Master Books for science curriculum and focusing on citizenship in social studies.

English Language Arts

Kindergarten and First Grade

English Language Arts

English Language Arts is taught daily using the BJU Press elementary English program. Students in grades 2–5 are pulled for small-group, grade-level instruction to ensure targeted support. This program integrates writing, grammar, speaking, listening, and visual literacy through a spiral approach with consistent practice, equipping students to communicate clearly, thoughtfully, and effectively as they grow in their understanding of God’s gift of language.

Math

Science

English Language Arts

Math is taught using the BJU Press elementary math program, with students pulled for small-group, grade-level instruction as needed. The program builds a strong foundation through logical reasoning, practice, and real-world application. Math enrichment provides opportunities for creative problem-solving while also strengthening fast-fact fluency, equipping students to use math confidently for the glory of God and the good of others.

Science

Science

Science

Science instruction rotates yearly so students in our blended-grade classrooms complete two full courses over a two-year cycle. All curriculum is Bible-based, offering a God-centered perspective on creation. In 2025–2026, 2nd/3rd graders will study BJU Press Science, while 4th/5th graders use Abeka Investigating God’s World. In 2026–2027, instruction will rotate to Apologia Earth Science for 2nd/3rd graders and Apologia Anatomy and Physiology for 4th/5th graders.

History

Social studies is rotated yearly, so students in our blended-grade classrooms complete two full courses over a two-year cycle.  All social studies curriculum is Bible based for a God-centered look at history. For 2025–2026, 2nd/3rd uses Our 50 States by Notgrass, while 4th/5th explores Abeka New World History and Geography. In 2026–2027, history instruction rotates to Our Star Spangled Banned by Notgrass for 2nd/3rd  and MasterBooks’ America’s Story 1 for 4th/5th.
