Back to School!
Our teachers are experienced in the field of education. They are CPR certified, FBI background checked, and attend yearly training.
We now offer two classrooms for Academy. One classroom is for 2nd and 3rd grade and the other is for 4th and 5th grade. This will allow for smaller class sizes and even more individualized attention for our students!
We seek to establish an environment of learning where children grow relationally, academically, & in their faith. We look forward to coming alongside parents and their homeschool to teach children healthy communication with others, along with math, science, and history.
Our program offers the distinct opportunity to see what your children are learning via the ProCare App. Our teachers will post photos that only enrolled families can see and we will send needed updates straight to your phone or device. Additionally, monthly tuition can be paid via the app (with a minimal fee charged by the app).
Our students will explore history and science through a number of instructional techniques and will engage in many group activities. It is our hope that these activities will not only expand their academic knowledge, but build character as we learn how to solve problems together and communicate effectively. New students will be tested at the beginning of the year in our Freedom Math Center. We will teach math according to where each child tests so that students are not left behind or bored with what’s being taught.
We are excited that our students will go to AND participate in our weekly Chapel services. We believe that these students are capable of changing the world and we want to teach them early on about the impact they can have in the world. We’ve spent time planning, picking curriculum that we believe will best benefit our students, and praying for a fantastic year ahead.
Starting our 2025/2026 school year we will incorporate ELA into our daily curriculum. The BJU Press elementary English program weaves together the many elements needed to understand and communicate clearly in the English language. Writing, grammar, mechanics, listening, speaking, and viewing (visual literacy) all come together to provide students with a solid English language arts foundation so they can enjoy and effectively use God’s gift of language. To achieve this vision, students learn parts of speech sequentially as they master English conventions through spiral review and ample practice. It will equip students to master foundational grammar and writing skills to craft effective written and oral communication that serves others.
The BJU Press elementary school math program seeks to give students the solid foundation they need to use math for life. Students will eventually be able to confront and solve problems using their mathematical skills, their individual life experiences, and logical reasoning. Using math is a key component of fulling the Creation Mandate. Our goal is to give students the skill sets they need to address real-world problems for the glory of God and the benefit of others.
